Jin Wang, Ph.D.
Prior to joining Westminster College, Dr. Wang was a tenured professor of economics, Associate Provost and Dean of Academic Services at The University of Tampa. Dr. Wang served as professor of economics and Associate Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Rowan University between 2003 and 2007. He was also a professor of economics and Associate Dean of the College of Letters and Science at the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, where he worked for 11 years.
Dr. Wang received his bachelor’s degree in Economics from Zhongshan University in 1982, a master’s degree in Economics from Ohio University in 1984, and holds a doctorate in Economics from Kansas State University, which he received in 1989. In the summer of 2005 he completed the Management Development Program at Harvard University. In the summer of 2007, he was a Fulbright Scholar in Brazil. In June 2010 he completed the Millennium Leadership Initiative sponsored by the American Association of State Colleges and Universities. He also served as President of the Council of Chinese American Deans and Presidents and has conducted extensive research on China's Economic Development and US-China trade relations. Dr. Wang has developed and led numerous international programs.
