Dr. Peggy Cain directs the Master of Arts in Community Leadership and Master of Education Programs. Her specializations are in the areas of:
• Adult education
• Latin American Studies and economic development
• Educational travel
• Sociology of education
• Learning in social movements
Dr. Cain has several years experience living in Latin America and educating North Americans about the countries of Central America. Her doctoral research focused on what adults learned through participating in grass-roots community groups working to remove radioactive and toxic waste from their neighborhood.
She teaches courses in the Adult Learning Certificate, core courses in the Master of Arts in Community Leadership degree, and the Master of Arts in Teaching program.
