About Peter Ingle

Peter Ingle moved to Utah in 1990 after having spent time working in various positions and traveling globally. He utilized his business degree in a bank in London and at IBM in Pennsylvania. He became interested in working with at-risk youth while in Pennsylvania and brought that interest to Salt Lake City. He has worked for numerous school districts in Salt Lake City as both a teacher and program director. He completed his PhD at the University of Utah in 1998 and began his career at Westminster shortly after.

Peter has taught in the School of Education since 1999, primarily in the area of special education. However, he has also taught courses on service learning, diversity, secondary educational methods, and the Masters Thesis course. Additionally, he has taught courses/workshops for the Faculty Technology Center on topics related to assessment, teaching with technology and eportfolios.

Peter has also been active in supporting the college community. He has served on numerous committees including the, Learning goals Strategic Planning committee and the College/University Task force. He has served as both the chair of the Faculty Senate and Chair of the Faculty.

During the 2007-2008 academic year, Peter began working on the development of the PBBA program. He served for 2 years as the Director for Curriculum and Assessment in the program.

Beginning in the 2008 academic year he began serving as the Director of the Learning Coalition, a new position in which he facilitates educational development for staff and faculty at Westminster College.Starting 2009-2010, Peter is working full time as the Director of the Learning Coalition.
