Now that you’ve accepted your admissions offer and deposited, the next step to becoming a Griffin is to attend a Griffin GearUp! This is an on-and-off campus, two (2) day experience for first year students that includes: meeting with an academic advisor, registering for classes, understanding the financial aspect of a Westminster education, exploring leadership development and identity, and getting to know your peers. We encourage you to explore the site and register for a Griffin GearUp session!
Each session starts with an information day on campus for students and their guests, before we head up to a cabin in the Wasatch moutains for the evening overnight portion of the trip. Students will get to have fun and share stories about their journey and excitement about their transition to college! More program details can be found below.
The Overnight stay for the first three GearUps will happen at South Fork Lodge in Coalville, while the final two June GearUps will happen at East Canyon Resort, northeast of Salt Lake through the Wasatch mountains. We are not camping, but will spend time outdoors, prepare accordingly.
