Lead with Passion

Leaders of community organizations play a myriad of vital roles. The MACL program prepares you with the skills you need to:

  • Manage and lead organizations and teams

  • Work with budgets and make informed decisions

  • Work collaboratively with community members to enact positive futures

  • Advocate with governmental decision-makers helping shape public policy

  • Communicate your message in a variety of ways and understand the use of persuasive speech


Democracy is strongest when informed citizens participate actively in decision-making in their communities. The MACL program helps you strengthen and develop skills to be even more effective in your work to help people meet their basic needs, to inform citizens on issues, and to involve people in decision-making through advocacy and organizing. The MACL degree and certificate programs will prepare you for leadership positions in a variety of community organizations that work to strengthen communities and democratic processes.
