While in Ecuador I have spend time in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil, speaking with many students who are interested in learning more about the US higher education system, as well of there options for universities and college United States. I have received many responses and reactions from students - especially when I show them pictures of the college campus, Salt Lake City and Utah.
The majority respond to how beautiful Utah is...as well as asking many questions about snow! In Guayaquil there are really only two season - the dry and wet seasons, never getting cold enough to snow - so some of the residents are not aware of what those cold temperatures might feel like.
Yesterday, before the start of the University Fair I visited a nearby city park, and was shocked to see large iguana's all of the place - just like birds! Resting on the ground, and sprawling out in the trees.

Good Morning! I am off this morning to meet with some high school students!
This is the view I awoke to - as well as the sounds of traffic and the hustle of a Monday morning.
