Sara Demko, M.A.
Asst. Provost for International Services
Sara graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, International Studies, and Spanish. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Cultural Geography from Prescott College, where her thesis focused on best practices for refugees in higher education. Since joining Westminster College in 2008, Sara has served as the Director of International Student Services and Study Abroad and is currently the Assistant Provost for Global Learning. Sara works closely with faculty and staff to promote and develop global learning in the curriculum and co-curriculum at Westminster and is co-chair of the campus-wide International Council. Sara has held leadership positions with NAFSA: The Association of International Educators, the Utah Board of International Educators, and is also a member of AIEA and the Forum on Education Abroad. Prior to joining Westminster, Sara served as Assistant Director for Study Abroad at the University of Utah, International Student Advisor at Salt Lake Community College, and Program Coordinator for SIT Study Abroad.
