With the completion of the Westminster College Master Plan, a new emphasis was put on Westminster growing in conjunction with the community. Through increased partnerships with Sugar House businesses, community members, and developers, Westminster has created a plan for meaningful and mutually beneficial growth in the community.
Westminster College aspires to enhance the vitality of its educational environment and the vitality of the Sugar House community by elaborating in material ways the connections between the college and the community. Sugar House, evolving into a community that resembles a college town, benefits from the enhanced presence of Westminster students, faculty, staff through increased economic activity, enhanced transit, recreational and educational opportunities and improvements to space and facilities. Westminster College benefits by providing its students with expanded opportunities for community based learning and for employment, recreation, entertainment and housing.
