Westminster's Environmental Studies Program
Why Choose Westminster's Environmental Studies Program?
You must have heard the expression, “Don’t just sit there, do something!” Well, Environmental Studies students “do something” by mixing bookwork with projects in the mountains, research on the Great Salt Lake, and studies in the desert. Environmental Studies is a degree that trains you to “do something” when you graduate, whether that’s environmental law, business, government or graduate school.
As a Westminster’s Environmental Studies student you’ll be trained to understand and analyze the environment from the disciplinary perspective you most enjoy. This means that you will choose to focus on either Science and Environment, or Environmental Humanities, or the Civic Environment of the Social Sciences. So, whether you want to measure a river’s chemistry, understand its aesthetic heritage, or quantify its economic power, this is a good major for you.
The Westminster Difference:
Focus in one of three concentrations, The Civic Environment, Science and Environment, Culture and Environment.
