Eligibility for Student Employment
Eligibility for participation in the Student Employment Program includes the
items listed under Eligibility for Federal Work Study, except a student does
not have to be eligible for Federal Work Study funding. However, you are still
encouraged to apply for Federal Work Study by completing the Free Application
for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Eligibility for Federal Work Study Funded Positions
Establishing and maintaining eligibility for Federal Work Study funding requires
- You have applied for needbased aid through the Free Application for Federal
Student Aid (FAFSA) and are awarded Federal Work Study.
- You enroll at least halftime at Westminster College (six or more credit
hours each semester for undergraduate students). You will not be eligible
to work if you drop below halftime enrollment during the semester.
- You maintain good academic standing. If you are placed on academic probation,
your eligibility for employment will cease. You may submit a letter of appeal
to the Financial Aid Office if there are extenuating circumstances.
- You have not graduated. Once you graduate, you are no longer eligible for
