We'll try to offer you as much "free" money as possible (i.e. grants and scholarships). However, while a loan is re-payable financial aid, borrowing loan funds to finance some of your education is a great investment in you!
There are several different loan programs available for students. Each loan differs in interest rates and loan amounts. Check the federal and alternative loan programs links for more details about each loan program and information on how to apply.
Are you a first time loan borrower?
If you have never previously borrowed a Federal Perkins or Stafford Loan you will be required to complete what is called Loan Entrance Counseling. You can complete Stafford Loan Entrance Counseling online anytime. If you are a first time Federal Perkins Loan borrower you may either complete Perkins Loan Entrance Counseling online or contact the Collection Coordinator at (801) 832-2129 to set up an individual appointment.
Are you graduating or leaving Westminster College?
If you are graduating or leaving Westminster College, you need to complete Loan Exit Counseling. This counseling will review with you loan repayment and loan deferment options. You can complete Stafford Loan Exit Counseling online anytime.
