Arts & Cultural Leadership

 The only program of its kind in Northern Utah, the Arts and Cultural Leadership track places an emphasis on community outreach and integration of the community into arts and cultural organizations. We place a solid foundation in management, fundraising, and policy/advocacy while providing multiple opportunities to meet leaders in arts and cultural organizations in the Salt Lake City area throughout the program. Each student will also complete a capstone project to develop expertise in a focused area of arts and cultural leadership.

    Community outreach
    Community-based arts project

Track Coursework

Arts and Cultural Leadership Class

  • Core areas of leadership and management, advocacy and community organizing, and communications (21 credits)

  • Arts, Culture, and Communities (2 credits)

  • Administration of Arts and Cultural Organizations (3 credits)

  • Electives in fund-raising, communications, program planning and evaluation, and social entrepreneurship (3 credits)

  • Capstone Project (6 credits)
