International Context Tour: FALL 2014

Am I eligible?

You must complete 20 credit hours of coursework to participate on a trip.  If you're not sure whether you will have completed enough credits before the trip, contact Baptiste in the Graduate Business Programs Office.

How do project-based MBA students register?

Project-based students should contact Adam Love at alove@westminstercollege.edu or 801.832.3410801.832.3410 to register for their trips. You are eligible to participate the semester you enroll in Project Sequence 5.

How and when should I register?

If you have decided on your destination you will need to secure your spot in the class. Trips are filled on a first come, first served basis. Registration will begin on WebAdvisor on spring registration day, Monday, March 24, 2014 at 7:30 a.m. Space is limited for each trip, so register early!  To register, sign up for MBA 699C (if you're an MBA student) or MTECH 699 (if you're an MBATM student). In early June, you will receive a packet in the mail and via email with details on deadlines and other documents that you will need to submit to our office.

Can I bring my spouse or significant other?

Yes, provided there is space is available on the trip. Registration for spouses/significant others will take place after spring registration opens. On March 24, please send the name of your spouse to Baptiste or Diana and he or she will be added to a waiting list--again, on a first come, first served basis. Please note that spouses/significant others must attend ALL business visits and activities during the international context tour. The cost per spouse/significant other will be $4,250. You will be notified mid-June about whether your spouse/significant other will be able to join you on the trip.

Do I need a passport?

Yes! You will need a current passport that is valid for 6 months after your international context tour returns (April 18, 2015), according to federal regulations. If you don't have a passport, you should apply for one right away.  It usually takes two months to receive your passport back. If you are not a US citizen, please ensure your paperwork is in order to travel internationally.  You must show proof of a valid passport to the Graduate Business Programs Office by Friday, June 6, 2014 in order to participate in a trip.

Will I miss any classes in the spring semester if I participate in a trip?
No! You will not have to miss any classes if you attend an international context tour.

Please contact us if you have any other questions.
