FIRST YEAR ACADEMIC ADVISING PROGRAM

You are about to embark on a wonderful, exciting and mysterious adventure!  The START Center is here to help reduce some of the mystery of this adventure.  We are here to assist you in creating a path for this journey and academic advising is critical to your success along this path.  It is important during your entire journey but it is VITAL as you begin.

The videos and links in the 'Steps for Registration' will prepare you for your first advising appointment. Work through all the videos and links and as you do so, jot down any ideas, questions or concerns you have so they can be addressed during your advising appointment.  Also please look through the First Year Program guide that you received in the mail and pick two or three Learning Communities that look interesting. The final video will explain how to schedule your first advising appointment.
