Intergroup Dialogue Series
The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is offering a 6-month Intergroup Dialogue program for Westminster faculty and staff.
Intergroup Dialogue brings together small groups to share their experiences and gain new knowledge related to diversity and social justice. Intergroup Dialogue is a discussion-based process led by two facilitators that helps group members develop deeper levels of understanding about differences, supports interpersonal connection, and facilitates social action. This professional development opportunity is designed for individual professional growth and for creating an inclusive campus climate.

- Increase understanding of individual differences and social identities
- Increase understanding of power, privilege, and oppression
- Increase motivation to engage in social action on campus
- Increase level of empathic/intuitive understanding of equity and inclusion
Registration is required. You will participate in an initial kick-off event on Monday, Oct. 21 followed by 8 dialogue sessions held between November and April that will take place periodically on Fridays from 9–11:00 a.m.
Each session will explore concepts that are defined by each dialogue group. The face-to-face interaction of Intergroup Dialogue helps individuals on personalized goals as well as goals defined the college’s diversity strategic plans.
