SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College is one of best in the Western U.S. according to the Princeton Review. Westminster was also named among the Princeton Review’s Best 386 Colleges for 2021 and made the Green Colleges guide.
The Princeton Review features only 14% of America’s four-year colleges, showcasing academically outstanding institutions. Inclusion is based on data collected from colleges and surveys of current students. Westminster students praised “a very rigorous academic load” and “a community that doesn’t center around academic competition, but academic empowerment.” “There is a general mix of artistic and intellectual students who are driven by learning.”
“It’s easy to strike up a conversation about gender bias or cultural inequality because our students are well educated and always up for challenging their thought process to make positive change happen, ” one undergrad reported. Student surveys also noted that Griffins love to ski and snowboard but most are more concerned with their academics. Campus resources, good food and coffee and a “very cool city” also counted as reasons students love Westminster.
The Princeton Review does not rank the colleges in the book from one to 386. Instead, it reports 62 ranking lists of top-20 schools in the book in various categories important to prospective applicants and their parents. The rankings in this edition are based on the company’s surveys of 143,000 students at the 386 schools in the book. View Westminster’s profile in the Princeton Review’s Best 386 Colleges for 2021.
