Westminster is a Top Producer of Gilman Scholars

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College is proud to be included on the list of U.S. colleges and universities that produced the most 2018-19 Gilman International Scholarship students.
Westminster was named a top producer of Gilman scholarship awardees in the Public Health category along with Emory University, UC Berkley, and CUNY Bronx Community College for 2018-19. Six Westminster students won Gilman awards in that time frame.
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program enables students of limited financial means to study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to the national security and economic prosperity of the United States. Each year the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) announces the top producing institutions for the Gilman International Scholarship Program at the Diversity Abroad Conference.
Westminster’s Fellowship Advising Office helps students find and apply for prestigious scholarships and fellowships in the U.S. and internationally. The rigorous competitions tie to a student’s undergraduate, graduate or professional interests. Additionally,
Westminster’s Office for Global Engagement helps students find and apply for learning abroad opportunities around the world, including study abroad and international internships.
