Sugar House and campus community invited to celebrate Westminster's 23 Olympians
SALT LAKE CITY -
To celebrate the amazing accomplishments of Westminster's student-athletes who competed in the 2014 Winter Olympics Games, the college will host a celebration for the campus and Sugar House community on May 9 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Richer Commons.
This year, 23 Westminster students competed in Sochi, Russia-more than any other college/university in the country (and 10% of Team USA). Olympians Maddie Bowman, Joss Christensen, Devin Logan and Alex Deibold brought home Gold, Silver and Bronze medals.
The celebration event will begin with a procession around the campus at 11 a.m., followed by speeches by distinguished guests and the Olympians, and a BBQ in the Richer Commons.
