SALT LAKE CITY
- For the 20th consecutive year, Westminster College has been ranked as a "Best Regional University" in the West by the national publication
U.S.News and World Report.
In the 2015
U.S.News edition, Westminster was ranked 20th in the Regional Universities-West category (up two slots from 2014) and was again included as an "
A+ School for B Students" as well as a
"Best Value" college.
"At Westminster, students become essential members of our community and learn to apply their knowledge to the real challenges of the world, from the neighborhoods of Salt Lake City and its environs to the natural and environmental treasures of Utah to global service projects around the world," said Westminster President Brian Levin-Stankevich. "We have worked to keep this excellent education accessible and affordable while maintaining its foundation in the personal relationships that mark the Westminster experience."
In 1983,
U.S.News and World Report began its annual rankings of American colleges and universities. Data is collected and tabulated on each participating school for up to 16 indicators of academic quality including peer review, student selectivity, faculty resources, retention, etc. Colleges are then ranked in their specific category (National Universities, National Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Universities and Regional Colleges) by their total weighted score.
