SALT LAKE CITY—Although the school year may be over, Westminster’s campus is still buzzing with activity. With much more parking availability and space in the Richer Commons to eat lunch, summer is a great time to be on campus.

For those interested in what’s going on at Westminster this summer, the Office of Marketing and Communication has compiled a list of events and programs below:

Summer Camps

For those who are wondering why there are so many kids on campus: welcome to summer camp season at Westminster. From June through August, the college hosts a variety of camps for youth of all ages. For students interested in aviation, finance, athletics to music—there’s something for everyone. Dates and prices vary.

Intermezzo Concert Series

Hosted at Westminster College, the Intermezzo Chamber Music Series provides an intimate classical music experience to the public. The series features superb local, professional performers who offer bold programming that interweaves the familiar, the novel and the obscure. Commissioned works by living composers are performed—as well as a surprise here and there.

Continuing Education Classes

There’s nothing like getting crushed after work with a circuit of push-ups and mountain climbers in Westminster’s fitness center. Every summer, Westminster’s Fitness, Health, and Wellness Department offers a variety of community education programs ranging from Crush class to golf and scuba diving.

Great Salt Lake Fringe

This multi-day performing arts festival is a must for art, music and theatre lovers in the Sugar House area. Westminster’s own Nina and Michael Vought—along with a group of students and alumni—founded the inaugural Great Salt Lake Fringe Festival in 2015 after stumbling upon the New Orleans Fringe Fest. The festival performances encompass theatre, dance, music, magic, comedy and more. Several of the events are hosted in the Jewett Center for the Performing Arts.

Summer Classes

Just because May Term is over doesn’t mean the fun has to end. Throughout the summer, Westminster continues to hold classes on campus with both undergraduate and graduate offerings.
