First-Generation Day at Westminster College

Westminster College will recognize national First-Generation Day with learning opportunities for faculty and staff, a keynote presentation by Representative Angela Romero and a campus first-gen meet and greet.
Westminster was named a First-Forward institution this year by the National Association of Student Affairs Professionals (NASPA). First Forward is a recognition program acknowledging higher education institutions for their commitment to first-generation student success. Westminster’s Student Diversity and Inclusion Center will host activities for national First-Generation Day around the theme “Assets over deficits: what first-generation students contribute to higher education.”

Professional development training for Westminster faculty and staff. Supporting students via all the touch points of the student-life cycle ensures their success.
