Westminster Appoints New Vice President for Advancement

SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster College has selected Daniel G. Lewis as its next vice president for advancement, effective June 2019.

Lewis will be responsible for leading advancement efforts for the college, working closely with President Beth Dobkin and other senior leaders across campus.

“Daniel joins Westminster College at a time of invigoration and high aspiration,” Dobkin said. “He will bring to bear his experience using new technologies and methods at the forefront of the advancement profession while serving as chief strategist and builder of an innovative advancement program for the college.”

Lewis brings deep experience with and passion for liberal arts colleges to his new role. He most recently served as assistant vice president for development and campaign director for St. Mary’s College of California. Among his responsibilities and accomplishments, Lewis led a $125 million campaign called Defining the Future: The Campaign for Saint Mary’s, the college’s most ambitious campaign to date. He brings to the position 21 years of higher education fundraising experience in annual giving, athletic development, principal and major gifts and comprehensive campaigns.

Lewis earned a bachelor’s of history from St. Mary’s College of California.
