December 15, 2022

Dear Griffins,

As the year draws to a close, we find our mountains and our campus blanketed in snow, just in time for the long winter break. As I reflect on what our Westminster community has accomplished this year, I’m full of gratitude.

2022 was a year of growth and celebration for Westminster College and our community. Our 2022 Commencement ceremonies honored nearly 400 undergraduates and close to 200 master’s graduates. Our student scientists and faculty continue to solve real world problems, especially at the Great Salt Lake. This year also marked Westminster’s fourth year as an NCAA II - member institution, with teams and student athletes qualifying for the NCAA II post-season competition. We watched Westminster graduates compete at the Winter Olympics, celebrated the opening of the new Florence J. Gillmor Hall performing arts center, and announced the exciting transition to Westminster University in 2023.

Thank you for the incredible impact you’re having on our community and across the globe. I wish you and your families all the best during the holidays and a very happy new year.

With gratitude,
Beth
