Learning about your lived experience about diversity, equity, and inclusion at Westminster College matters to us! We would like to know more about how our students, staff, and faculty perceive the College’s campus climate and level of support for diversity. We hope that you and every member of our campus community will participate in this important survey. We will use the results of this survey to inform and strengthen support, policies, and practices at Westminster.

A link to the survey is in your Westminster email. It will take you about 10 to 15 minutes to complete. You may pause the survey at any time or choose not to answer particular questions. We recommend that you take this survey in one sitting; however, if you must exit the survey, your responses on previous pages should be saved when you return. Your responses to the questions on the page you were on when you left the survey may or may not be saved.

Note: There are no “right” or “wrong” answers to the survey questions. Share your responses from your own experience.

Privacy is vital to the success of research on diversity and campus climate. Anonymity and confidentiality are practiced to protect your privacy while collecting, analyzing, and reporting data. Anonymity refers to collecting data without obtaining any personal, identifying information. Confidentiality refers to separating or modifying any personal, identifying information provided by survey participants from the data. In this survey, your responses are completely anonymous, meaning your answers are not connected to your identifying information in any way. Also, multiple steps are taken throughout the survey process to ensure confidentiality by avoiding sharing or connecting personally identifiable information to individual responses.

Students have the option to enter themselves into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card in appreciation for completing the survey by submitting a unique code that is in no way linked to survey responses. However, using the code indicates survey participation, which will be kept confidential. Information about the drawing will be announced at a later time.

If you have questions about this survey, you may contact Tamara Stevenson, Chief Diversity Officer, at dei@westminsteru.edu, or Nicole Seidler, Research Analyst and Data Manager at the Higher Education Data Sharing Consortium, at nicole.seidler@hedsconsortium.org. If there is an incident of discrimination or harassment that you would like to report, file a report through the Office of Equal Opportunity.

Thank you for providing your perspective on this critical issue and for sharing your experiences. We are committed to ensuring an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment for our students, faculty, and staff. Your participation in this survey will help us in our work to serve all members of the Westminster College campus community.
