Staff Professional Development Fund
Staff Council is dedicated to supporting professional development opportunities such as workshops, seminars, webinars, training, and other activities that help you develop professionally in your field.
Learning opportunities that build diversity and inclusion awareness, knowledge, and skills are encouraged as they support campus efforts for inclusive excellence.
Awards will be a partial or total amount depending on the amount you requested, typically in the range of $50 to $500.
How to Apply
Step 1: Determine Eligibility
- You must be a permanent staff member.
- The activity must be a workshop, seminar, webinar, training, or other activity that would help you develop professionally in your field. The fund is not intended to be used for academic tuition, annual certifications, or membership fees.
- You can receive 1 award every 2 years.
Step 2: Complete Application
Complete and submit an application by one of the deadlines. In your form, you must explain how this activity will support you as well as the value you expect the development opportunity to provide you, your department/office, and/or Westminster College as a whole.
Step 3: Consideration
Staff Council will consider all eligible applications and communicate approval within 7 business days after each deadline. The council may consider expedited requests or requests submitted off-cycle on an ad hoc basis. Upon approval, awardees will receive instructions on how to charge expenses and information on a follow-up summary. Employees are responsible for completing event registration.
