Dr. Helen Hu has been teaching at Westminster College in 2003. Since then, she has primarily taught the introductory computer science series, algorithms and data structures, computer graphics and compilers.
Dr. Hu is the Principal Investigator of the Utah Exploring Computer Science Initiative, an NSF funded project to bring the Exploring Computer Science course to 100 Utah high schools. She is also the PI of the Westminster TIDES Project, which is leveraging Learning Communities and POGIL activities to teach CS Principles to diverse students. Every summer, Dr. Hu runs a programming workshop for the AWE+SUM summer camp for girls entering eighth grade.
