    In addition to his duties with Westminster, Jared is the Artistic Director of Pinnacle Acting Company. Before joining Westminster, Jared spent five years as the Department Chair for Theatre at Salt Lake School for the Performing Arts. Jared received his B.S. in Theatre from Southern Utah University and his Master’s degree in Acting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign where he studied with Robin McFarquhar (Fight Choreographer for Steppenwolf, The Goodman, and Broadway), Henson Keys (Alabama Shakespeare Festival Endowed Chair), and Daniel Sullivan (Winner of the 2001 Tony Award for Best Director). Jared has taught numerous classes in acting around the country, including the University of Illinois, BCT in Alabama, Brigham Young University, Utah Shakespeare Festival, College of Eastern Utah, Utah Theatre Association, Salt Lake Community College, the Utah Advisory Council of Theatre Teachers, as well as dozens of high schools. In addition to film, television, and commercial work, Jared has acted for some of the most celebrated companies in Regional Theatre, including five seasons with the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival; Pioneer Theatre Company; national touring companies, and numerous roles for Pinnacle Acting Company. As a director, Jared has directed over sixty-five productions. In 2008 he created his second Physical Theatre piece “Innovation” and celebrated its World Premiere, along with standing ovations and 5 star reviews, at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland. It went on to be shown at the Utah Theatre Association’s annual conference, to 1600 students and teachers, where it continued to receive rave reviews. “Innovation” was remounted a second time in the spring of 2010 as a fundraiser for Huntsman Cancer Foundation. Additionally Jared has been commissioned for a third original Physical Theatre piece that will be included, along with “The Park Bench” and “Innovation”, in a book he is currently writing. A recipient of numerous awards, Jared was most recently honored with the 2010 Master Teacher Award by the Utah Advisory Council of Theatre Teachers. Jared has been the script supervisor for two films A Moment So Close and Triad, and was a consultant for the independent film Toxin. Jared is a recognized Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors.
