About

Jared is an Associate Professor of Theatre and serves as the Co-Program Chair for the Department of Theatre and is the Chair of the Department of Dance at Westminster College. Jared also heads up the BFA in Performance. Additionally, Jared is the Co-Artistic Director of Pinnacle Acting Company (now in its 14th season). Jared holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. In addition to film, television, and commercial work, Jared has acted for 25 years for some of the most celebrated companies in the United States, including five seasons with the Tony Award winning Utah Shakespeare Festival. Jared has directed over 50 productions, most recently Mauritius, Ah, Wilderness!, and The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Jared?s award winning physical theatre piece Innovation debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe and received multiple awards at the Great Salt Lake Fringe. Jared is a recipient of the Master Teacher Award from the Utah Advisory Council of Theatre Teachers. Recent acting credits include roles in: Macbeth, The Real Thing, Someone Who?ll Watch Over Me, Rabbit Hole, Importance of Being Ernest, Charlie?s Aunt, Comedy of Errors, Betrayal, Time Stands Still, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Who?s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?. Jared is a recognized Actor/Combatant with the Society of American Fight Directors.

Acting, Classical Text, Musical Theatre, Film and Television, Devised Theatre, Physical Theatre, Stage Combat Jared also enjoys exploring our National Parks, hiking, camping, skiing, travel, singing, cooking, and spending time with his daughter.
