About
Kari serves as the Assistant Director of the Student Diversity and Inclusion Center, and works closely with the Legacy Program. An SLC native, Kari loves the mountains and the high elevation! Kari earned her B.A. in English and an M.S. in Writing and Rhetoric at the University Utah. Prior to her time at Westminster, Kari taught Writing classes at the University of Utah for 3 years. She loves talking with students, and understands education to be transformational, not transactional. Kari loves talking about power within discourse, queer theory, critical race theory, and survivor rhetoric. She actively works to promote Westminster's values of inclusion, equity, and justice in all things, and believes in the power of students to change the world! In her downtime, Kari will likely be found eating mac and cheese and reading poetry. Come visit in Bassis to discuss any of the above!
