About
Kelsey Sarasqueta-Allen (she/her/hers) is a doctoral candidate at Idaho State University, a Licensed Professional Counselor (ID), and Licensed Associate Marriage & Family Therapist (ID). Her clinical experience includes working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families counseling in rural, group practice, and college settings. Her research passions include social justice advocacy, community organizing, rural mental health, interdisciplinary healthcare collaboration, spirituality, and public policy engagement. Kelsey has held several public policy and legislative chair positions in the counseling field, including regional (Idaho Mental Health Counselors Association), state (Idaho Counseling Association), and national (Association for Adult Development and Aging). She was awarded the Association for Adult Development and Aging (a national division of the American Counseling Association) 2020 Government Relations award, in addition to previously engaging as a WWAMI Area Health Education Scholar (2019-2021). Outside of counseling, Kelsey enjoys being involved with the Basque community, backpacking, SUP, and live music.
