Diversity Center Staff
Lu seeks to affirm and honor the experiences of underrepresented students on campus through the Diversity Center’s programs and by collaborating with the student groups who associate with the Diversity Center. He also serves on the Diversity Council in which Westminster faculty and staff collaborate to drive the majority of Diversity programs at the College. One of Lu’s interests is in developing education pipelines for historically underrepresented students to be able to access higher education. One of the ways we accomplish this goal is through Westminster’s partnership with Granite Park Jr. High in which undergraduate students mentor Jr. High students on a regular basis during the academic year.
Lu completed both his degrees at the University of Utah; a Bachelor of Arts in History with a minor in Chicana/o studies and a Master of Arts in Education from the department of Education Culture & Society. His professional experiences include case management and services for homeless families living at The Road Home as well as academic advising and program coordination at the University of Utah’s Office for Student Equity & Diversity.
