Eligibility

Students, full-time faculty, adjunct faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible to join the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center.  Members may also elect to have one Sub-Member.  Please see the criteria for a
Sub-Member below.

  • A "Sub-Member" includes the following:  Husband/Wife/Domestic Partner, Sister/Brother OR a Parent/Child (MUST BE 18 YEARS OR OLDER).  All Main Members (i.e., undergraduate students, graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni) are allowed ONE Sub-Member which must fall within the "Sub-Member" definition as stated above. 
  • Student*, faculty, staff or alumni* MUST be present upon initial registration of one’s spouse/partner.
  • All members of the HWAC must be 18 years of age or older.  Westminster students under the age of 18 must have the Membership Agreement and Release Forms signed by a parent/guardian.

*Main Member must have an active membership to the Center.

 

Become a Member

Students, faculty, staff, and alumni are eligible to join the Dolores Doré Eccles Health, Wellness, and Athletic Center.  Just come to center during our hours of operation to get your New Westminster ID card. The new ID card will replace your current Westminster College ID and will be required to access the new facility, to check out books from the library, and, for residential students, to purchase food in the Shaw Center. When you get your ID card, we’ll also ask you to fill out a registration form. It’s that easy!

* Full time undergraduate students will see a $60.00 charge per semester on their tuition bill.

  • Membership dues for part-time undergraduates and their sub-member may be paid through one of the following methods: (1) Payment in full upon registration, (2) Payment by the month, or (3) Automatic monthly credit card charge.  Monthly fee is $13.50.  Please see the HWAC Reception Desk for details.
  • If one is a student AND a staff or faculty member at Westminster College, employee rates will apply (see below)
  • Membership fees will be waived for all students employed by the Fitness, Wellness, and Recreation Department

 

Graduate Students

Alumni

  • Membership dues for alumni and their sub-member may be paid through one of the following methods: (1) Payment in full upon registration, (2) Payment by the month, or (3) Automatic monthly credit card charge. Please see the HWAC Reception Desk for details.
  • Alumni must provide validation of alumni status to the HWAC Reception Desk upon registration.  Validation may be obtained from the Office of Alumni Relations.

Guests

Guests  
Sponsored by a student, faculty, staff, or alumni member $5.00 per day
  • All guests are required to register at the HWAC Reception Desk and sign a Release Form.
  • Guests MUST be accompanied by a Member of the Center. 
  • Guests MUST be 18 years of age or older.

Day Pass

Day Pass    
All eligible members interested in joining the HWAC may redeem a Day Pass free of charge. One Day Pass per individual is afforded.  Day Passes are non-transferable.

Refunds

  • Refunds are issued for medical or relocation purposes only.  No refund will be issued for the current month of membership.
  • All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Director of Fitness, Wellness, and Recreation.  Refunds will take 3 to 4 weeks to process.
  • Memberships are non-transferable.
