Once you see our Residence Halls, you won't miss your old bedroom. Life in the residence halls complements your academic studies with educational, cultural, social, and recreational programs. Oh yeah, and somewhere to store all those books and sleep off the late-night cram sessions is a bonus too!

Become a part of the Westminster family. When you make Westminster your new home, you become a member of the Westminster family and enjoy the benefits of on-campus living. You'll dine with your fellow Griffins in Shaw, grab a coffee in Bassis, and have quick access to join in on campus events like sports games, casino nights, visiting food trucks or be enlightened by renowned artists, authors, performers, and lecturers that regularly visit the campus.
Take advantage of proximity. The beauty of Westminster's small campus is that everything is easy walking distance: study with your classmates in the library for a group project, exercise in the Eccles Center with fitness classes or stop by your professor's office to get quick help on a homework question. Leaving campus is just as easy. Use your student ID to "tap on" the public bus; it's free to Westminster students. Plus, Sugar House businesses are only 5 minutes walking distance away:

Campus Residency Requirement
The Westminster Freshman-Sophomore Living Experience is designed to provide students with the best possible college experience. On-campus living promotes greater community, transition to college life, and facilitates positive first and second year experiences. Plus, students who live in student housing have better grades, are retained in higher numbers and graduate sooner.
We offer a variety of housing options for freshmen and sophomores. Activities are plentiful, campus is your backyard, and professors are just a 5 minute walk away.
Exemptions to our two-year residency requirement will be considered for students over 21 years of age; military or veteran status; married, domestically partnered, and/or with legally dependent children; independent student status; medical and disability circumstances; or other special circumstances which create substantial personal hardship. If you meet these requirements please fill out the Housing Exemption Form.
