Zach Scott Schlolarship

Incoming freshman, Zachary Scott from Summit Academy High School recieved the Leaders and Achievers Scholarship and notebook computer at the Comcast Scholarship Luncheon.

Nicole Roberts and Maxwell Poth have been selected, out of thousands of applicants, to present their capstone project “Utilization of Sexual Violence Resources on College Campuses Impacted by Religious Cultural Barriers” at the American Public Health Association’s 143rd Annual Meeting in Chicago, IL Oct. 31- Nov. 4, 2015.

Personal Accomplishment

Chris Mansfield was recently awarded the 2015 FRIENDS of Great Salt Lake Doyle W. Stephens Scholarship. The $1000 scholarship, sponsored in 2015 by the Great Salt Lake Brine Shrimp Cooperative, is awarded to undergraduates and graduates for research projects investigating Great Salt Lake systems.

Academic Performance Awards

Jessica Chellsen was awarded a competitive Alpha Chi scholarship for the 2015-16 academic year. Chellsen is a member of the Utah Alpha Chi chapter and received the Alfred H. Nolle Scholarship. Alpha Chi inducts no more than the top 10 percent of juniors, seniors, and graduate/professional students on each campus, representing all academic disciplines. With some 300 chapters and an active presence in almost every state, Alpha Chi actively promotes academic excellence, undergraduate and graduate research, campus academic dialogue, and civic engagement.

Westminster College’s Ethics Bowl Team has once again nabbed a national spot during the 2014 Wasatch Regional Ethics Bowl competition at Westminster November 8. This is the eighth time out of the past nine years the team has progressed to the national competition. The college’s winning team members, who went 5-0 and finished with the best overall won-loss record, included:
