Where friendships are formed

Josh—class of 2018
Josh Aldrete
Major: Aviation Management
Hometown: Log Angeles, CA
The first time Josh stepped foot in Utah was his first day at Westminster. “I came here knowing nobody. And as a first-generation college student, I didn’t know what to expect,’ recalls Josh.
He was happily surprised right away.

“This is the friendliest state I’ve ever been in, one of the most accepting of all kinds of people.”
Life on campus was no exception. Westminster students live on campus for at least their first two years. “My first year I’m really happy I lived in traditional-style housing,’ says Josh. “Within a week, I already had a group of friends I knew I could trust. I met my best friend and roommate to this day that week.’

“I’ve made closer friends here in three years, than in my whole life back home.”

Throughout the year, Westminster’s Residential Housing Association (RHA) hosts parties and events like beach volleyball barbecues, outdoor movies, sledding, and s’more roasts to facilitate comfortable living and community.
“College is where you make your lifelong friends.”
