Travel with fellow alumni and select faculty on immersive adventures that cultivate lifelong learning and honor the cultures of our diverse world. Westminster Alumni Travel tours are curated by IPSL Global Engagement, who create unique itineraries that include something for everyone.
Tours are open to alumni, family, and friends who are 18 years and older. Travel groups have small and intimate global experiences with a blend of culinary delights, history, and exploration.

Insider's Vietnam
Experience Westminster Alumni Travel’s maiden voyage to Vietnam. You’ll dive into the country’s rich history and unique style forged from years of resistance to colonization and occupation.
You’ll begin and end your journey in Vietnam’s capitol city of Hanoi, considered one of the main cultural centers in Vietnam. Join your fellow alumni as the tour explores the natural beauty, rich traditions, and local cuisine.
Honors College Dean Richard Badenhausen will join the tour as it embarks on a once-in-a-lifetime travel experience to learn, explore, and reflect on our role as global citizens.

- Walking tour of the historic Old Quarter and Hoan Kiem Lake
- Visit Vietnam Friendship Village NGO
- An afternoon of volunteer service with the Friendship Village
- 2 nights exploring Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site

Trip Logistics
- Airfare not included
- Includes airport transfers from Hanoi International Airport on October 11
- Includes trip orientation and welcome breakfast on October 12
- Includes hotels, breakfast, and some lunches and dinners
- Provides 24-hour, in-country support
- Includes emergency medical and evacuation insurance (it’s recommended that you also buy your own travel insurance)
- Trip is for travelers 18 years and older
- Activity level is moderate, with up to 3 miles walking over the course of a day and standing for periods of time at museums and historic sites.
- Your passport must be valid for 6 months post trip dates and a travel visa is required
Trip Fees and Deadlines
The 2024 Vietnam trip size is limited, so reserve your spot today. A non-refundable $500 deposit is required by June 1, 2024 and will go toward the total trip cost of $4,425 per person. The remainder is due by September 1, 2024.

Cancellation and Refund Policy
The Westminster Alumni Travel deposit is non-refundable.
Should a rare circumstance require Westminster University to cancel an alumni travel program before it begins, participants will be notified and offered a comparable program in which to participate, where possible. If for any reason a comparable program, as determined in the sole and absolute discretion of Westminster University cannot be offered, a full refund of any fees and the deposit will be issued to the participant.
Westminster University makes every effort to ensure that programs operate as described in the published material. Westminster University reserves the right to make changes, without prior notice, to the service, academic study, academic excursions, and/or housing offered to the participant.
All fees are due in full by the published final payment deadline. Westminster University makes financial investments at our program sites abroad for the benefit of participants. These financial commitments are non-refundable, even when a participant withdraws. Therefore, Westminster University is unable to issue a refund to any participant who withdraws within thirty days of the start of a program.
Each participant must sign the Contract of Participation. A participant who is in violation of that Contract, and who is dismissed as a result, will not receive a refund.
