This position involves working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. The ideal candidate should have exceptional communication and teamwork skills, as well as experience
handling budgets and administrative issues. 1) Job Responsibilities - • Responsible for providing exceptional administrative support to all members of the Office of Communications as well as external customers • Maintains office budgets, issues check requests, tracks expenditures, creates new databases as needed, and projects budgetary requirements for the next year. • Processes office’s check requests including but not limited to preparation, copying, submittal, and filing. • Manages division budget spreadsheet and updates weekly. • Keeps record of departmental budget expenses, allocates these to the proper accounts. • May be responsible for the traffic management of print project requests, marketing actions, and PR and web requests. • Oversees office’s purchasing card reconciliation. • Responsible for general administrative support, including, but not limited to filing, meeting organization, office supply runs, keeping the office neat and organized, running campus errands, etc. 2) Qualifications Required/Preferred • Any major will be considered, however students who are majoring in accounting, economics, finance, or math are preferred. • Must be detail-oriented and have ability to multi-task. • Ability to be efficient and productive in a fast-paced environment. • Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer service skills. • Excellent communication, listening and computer skills. • Ability to understand and manipulate Excel spreadsheets and Access databases. • Must be a team player.
