Westminster College Opens
New Office of Gift Planning

Salt Lake City-January 9, 2003-Westminster College announces a new office of gift planning and has appointed Lisa Actor as the director. The new office was created to support and promote prominent gifts through means such as estates, trusts, property, bequests, annuities and other financial vehicles. Actor will work with qualified financial and legal advisors to help people with philanthropic intent to make a difference in the lives of Westminster students.

"When we were considering hiring someone from outside Westminster to head this new office, I was determined to bring on someone who's heart is already here," said Nancy Michalko, vice president for institutional advancement at Westminster. "Lisa knows the college, she knows the donors, and she has proven that she cares about the college and the students."

Previously, Actor was director of foundation relations at Westminster for six years. She was responsible for raising more than $22 million for the college.

Westminster College is the only private, comprehensive liberal arts college in Utah and one of the very few in the Intermountain West.
