Summer Camp Changes and Cancellations
Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, in-person summer camps, including athletic camps, are canceled and the Money 101 camp will be hosted online. Questions about refunds for canceled camps should be directed to the camp organizer. Westminster College's main priority continues to be the health, safety, and wellness of camp participants, student-athletes, coaches, administrators, and staff.
Westminster College in Salt Lake City, Utah offers a variety of summer camps for elementary, middle, and high school students.
Money 101 Camp (Virtual)
The Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business hosts Money 101 camp, an interactive and engaging summer camp designed to help middle school and high school students understand the importance money plays in their lives. The camp’s 5 half-day sessions held in late July and Early August explore the “how to’s” of managing money, investments, credit and personal budgeting. It’s a fun, hands-on camp in which one of the more complex concepts of “adulting” is simplified and brought into focus.
Camp counselors have prepared a fun, virtual camp for 2020 that features live interaction and hands-on activities. Lessons, apps, and materials targeted to each youth’s level of financial awareness have been constructed and promise to simplify money and bring its importance into sharp focus.
AWE+SUM Girls Camp
The AWE+SUM (Attend Westminster—Explore Science—Use Math) Camp at Westminster College is held every summer and is open to female-identifying students that are in or entering 7th or 8th grade. The camp supports interest in the sciences and showcases the variety of careers available in science fields. Students spend 5 days on the Westminster campus enjoying hands-on math and science workshops and other activities.
The Florence J. Gillmor School of Music's Westminster Strings Camp is open to high school students who play violin, cello, or double bass. Accepted students receive a full scholarship for this week-long immersion in the art of solo and collaborative strings performance.
