High School Counselors

For further assistance, high school counselors working with students who are applying to Westminster College can call 1.800.748.4753, email admission@westminstercollege.edu, or submit an information request.

Application Requirements

Westminster College enrolls students based on their potential for success. Although we encourage students to take challenging classes, we do not have specific required courses for enrollment. If students meet their high school requirements we will consider them for admission to Westminster College.

What Your Seniors Need to Submit

  • Unofficial High School Transcripts (official transcripts with official school seal, Parchment, National Student Clearing House or eScrip-Safe will be requested upon completion of high school)
  • Application for admission
  • Official ACT or SAT score (we accept either and will take the highest score)

Financial Aid

Each Westminster applicant is considered for a scholarship based on their academic experience, test scores, GPA, and extracurricular activities. There is no separate scholarship application, but students who wish to apply for any type of aid must fill out the FAFSA. Learn more about financial aid.

Your tuition, fully paid

All students should have the ability to explore their passions. Westminster College is proud to cover the cost of tuition for qualifying students through the Westminster Commitment.

What We Look for in an Applicant

We look at every student's application individually. We focus primarily on the student's academic preparation in high school, and expect applicants to have taken a solid and academically challenging curriculum throughout their high school career. We encourage students with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and an ACT composite score of 20 or higher to apply to the college. The current average GPA for incoming first-year students is 3.57, and the current average ACT score range is 21-27. Please keep in mind that we do not accept applicants based on an admissions index.
