3. Register for Housing

Secure your spot in one of the residence halls early, as campus housing is in high demand. Housing applications are available beginning December 1, with a priority deadline of May 15. Our first- and second-year living experience is designed to provide students with the best possible college experience. All first- and second-year students are required to live on campus.

4. Attend Admitted Student Day

If you’ve been admitted to Westminster and have us as one of your top college destinations, this event is for you. Come be a Griffin for a day and take a deep dive into how Westminster creates personalized and dynamic learning experiences for every student. Faculty, staff, and current students will be on-hand to answer your questions as you attend live classes and our campus-wide clubs and organizations fair. You also have the option to spend the night before in our residence halls. Students opting to do so will need to register for both the day event and the overnight experience.

5. Register for Classes

Registration begins in April for Griffin GearUp, a series of events that allow admitted first-year students to experience campus and learn what they need to do before the first day of class. Griffin GearUp is a one or two-day, overnight experience that includes meeting with an academic advisor, registering for classes, understanding the financial aspect of your education at Westminster, exploring leadership development, and getting to know your peers. Visit the Griffin GearUp page to view the current dates and to register.

Students who cannot attend a Griffin GearUp will still have the opportunity to meet with a faculty advisor and register for classes with one-on-one appointments in June and July.

6. Attend Student Orientation

First-year Student Orientation spans the four days before the fall semester begins. During orientation you will have an excellent opportunity to meet other students, as well as many dedicated faculty and staff, and get ready to thrive in our campus community.

Email studentinvolvement@westminstercollege.edu or call the Dean of Students Office at 801.832.2242 with any questions.
