Alcohol Service at College Events

The Westminster University Alcohol Service at University Events Policy requires a completed alcohol authorization form for every event where alcohol will be served. The authorization permit section of the form must be signed by the risk management coordinator to be valid.

Please submit a permit application at least 10 business days prior to the date of the event. The permit is not valid until the authorized risk management representative responds to the applicant with written approval.

Permit applications submitted without adequate time for review, applications with incomplete information, or applications with alcohol control plans which are insufficient to meet policy requirements may be denied.

Alcohol Storage on Campus

If it is necessary to store alcohol on College-controlled property for an event, an application for storage authorization must be completed at least 10 business days prior to the date of the event. If a staff member living in College housing wishes to store alcohol for personal use within their housing unit, an application for storage authorization must be submitted at least annually. The storage permit is not valid until the authorized risk management representative and the supervisory Cabinet member respond to the applicant with written approval.
