Arts and Sciences

You can select a degree in fields like psychology, political science, performing arts, or even gender or justice studies.

Business

Business programs from accounting to sports management are fully accredited.

Nursing

As a nursing student, you'll choose from programs with some of the highest job-placement rates after graduation.

Financial Aid and Scholarships

Westminster is proud to make a private, liberal arts education as accessible as it is valuable. As a full-time, degree-seeking transfer applicant, you'll automatically be considered for merit-based scholarships. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to get a personalized need-based financial aid package, too. If you are unable to file the FAFSA, contact the Financial Aid Office for assistance.

Transferring to Westminster

You’ve worked hard to get where you are, and we are here to help you take on your next chapter with confidence.

There is no application deadline for transfer students. However, to get the classes you want and a complete financial aid offer, you should apply at least two months before the start of the semester in which you plan to enroll.

Transfer Credits

Generally, a maximum of 72 semester hours of credit completed with a grade of C- or better from 2-year, regionally accredited schools can be accepted for academic course work. A maximum of 88 credit hours transferred from all collegiate institutions (2-year and 4-year regionally accredited schools) attended may be applied toward meeting the total number of hours required for graduation.

Once you have completed an application to the university and have been accepted, you'll receive a course-by-course breakdown of which credits will transfer.

Transferring from SLCC

Through the SLCC-Westminster transfer partnership, you can access more than 16 transfer pathways designed to help you transfer from SLCC to Westminster with ease. Westminster's small campus and tight-knit community mean you'll receive a personalized education and develop strong relationships to help you earn your degree. If you have completed a degree from Salt Lake Community College you may be eligible for guaranteed admission and a minimum annual scholarship of $12,000.

A Liberated Approach to Learning

Westminster University facilitates the McNair Scholars Program, which prepares, supports, and plans graduate studies and professional programs for academically talented and underrepresented students.

Career coaching is available to all Westminster students and alums for life through the Career Center. Get the help you need to discover, plan, and take action in finding career options for a rewarding professional and personal life. First-generation and traditionally underrepresented students at Westminster University can apply to STEPS, which helps students get the most out of their Westminster experience. Students in STEPS receive social, cultural, financial, and academic support.
