Transferring to Westminster Just Got More Affordable
We are awarding fifteen awards of $1,000 per semester to transfer students* who will attend Westminster as members of the Spring 2013 entering class. Even better, the $1,000 awards are in addition to merit scholarships offered by the college!
HOW TO APPLY
1. GET ADMITTED to Westminster College by completing our admissions application and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.
2. SUBMIT AN ESSAY of approximately 500 words detailing how you will enrich our community of learners.

3. Applicants are encouraged to schedule a time to visit campus to meet with a representative of the Scholarship Committee. Interviews via telephone and Skype may also be arranged.
4. MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS POSTMARKED by November 16, 2012.
The Scholarship Committee will select the fifteen recipients by evaluating your academic record, the quality of your involvement in the community, and your potential to contribute to Westminster’s learning environment. Remember, to be considered for the Transfer to Westminster Award you must apply and be admitted to Westminster by November 16, 2012 and have a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA from all colleges attended.
THE FINE PRINT
*A transfer student is a student who has attended any college or university after graduating from high school or completing a GED.
Scholarship and grant funds awarded by Westminster are not to exceed full-tuition. Recipients of full-tuition scholarships will not be considered for this award.
The essay for the TWA is in addition to any documents required for admission. When submitting the TWA essay, please indicate that it is for the Transfer to Westminster Award and ensure your name is each page.
TWA is granted for eight semesters of study or receipt of bachelor’s degree (whichever occurs first). It is renewable for those eight semester provided you remain in good academic standing and maintain satisfactory academic progress. Semesters exempted through transfer credit and enrolled semesters which were not satisfactory do count toward the eight semester maximum.
Recipients must register as full time (12 or more semester hours), degree-seeking students in each term that funds are received. Terms and Conditions for Receipt of Westminster College Merit-based Awards also apply.
TWA applicants who have not been admitted prior to November 16, 2012 will only be considered for the award if all admissions application materials are postmarked on or before November 16, 2012.
Recipients of the TWA will be notified by November 30, 2012.
