Why Study Business?

Welcome to the Bill and Vieve Gore School of Business at Westminster College. Business is an exciting field that is continually changing. If you are interested in starting your own company, working in any of the many business-related fields (accounting or economics, for example), or just want to have a better understanding of corporate practices and structures, our business degree programs can be a great place to start.

Undergraduate | Business Programs

Westminster offers undergraduate business degrees in: Accounting, Economics, Economics Pre-Law, FinanceManagement, Marketing, and International Business. Westminster also offers a Professional Bachelor of Business Administration specifically designed for working adults who need to finish their undergraduate degree.   An optional accelerated Master of Business Administration program makes it possible to obtain an MBA with an additional 36 semester hours of credit beyond the Bachelor's degree requirements (apply for this option before the end of the first term of your senior year).

Graduate | Business Programs

Westminster College offers three MBA programs for Graduate Students, in addition to graduate certificates:  The MBA prepares students for executive-level decision making in dynamic environments.  The MBATM (MBA in Technology Management) offers more specific business leadership skills in leading technology-based firms.  And the Master of Accountancy (MAcc) is designed to meet the needs of students interested in a professional career in accounting.

Why Choose Westminster's Business Degree Programs?

A key element to the approach in our business degree programs involves experiential learning. You can gain valuable real-world experience via a cooperative-education internship or working with professionals in a company or non-profit organization. Or you may participate in a student team that researches issues of real concern to an organization and then presents its findings and recommendations. Choose one of our business majors and you can also elect a course in portfolio development which involves assessing your skills and interests, designing a career plan, and creating a portfolio that will serve as a valuable tool in attaining your career objectives.
