About

The energy and passion of Kristiana Henderson’s music-making has led to orchestra positions and solo performances on a national level. She has played with the New World Symphony, Utah Symphony, been assistant concertmaster in the South Dakota Symphony and is currently the Associate Principal Second Violinist of the Ballet West Orchestra.

In Salt Lake City, Kristiana has several performed with several touring Broadway shows including Book of Mormon, Motown, and Phantom of the Opera. She frequently records for Huge Sound, Funk Studios, LDS Motion Picture Studios and others, and enjoys an active freelance career. Kristiana holds a Masters of Music degree in violin performance from Rice University and a Bachelors of Music degree with a major in violin performance and minor in psychology from the University of Utah.

Kristiana enjoys exploring the versatility of music through teaching. She has maintained a private studio for the past ten years. She is a member of the Suzuki Association of Utah and the Suzuki Association of the Americas.

Music has always been in Kristiana’s life. She began studying violin at the age of 4 and won second place in the elementary division of the Utah State Fair Competition. Her main teachers have included Geof Appletgate, Sergiu Luca, Gerald Elias, and Deborah Moench.
