Westminster Fund Logo

Your gift to The Westminster Fund supports the professor who taught you how to think, the coach who showed you how to lead, and the mentor who set you on your professional path. They bring the world together in a community where a kid from Bountiful and a kid from Bulgaria can share family stories and connect within the classroom and out. They make possible for relationships that are strong enough to last for decades.

Jane Jerman

My scholarship is important to me because it allows me to be involved with activities that shape the Westminster and Salt Lake communities.

Alex Evans

The best part of my Westminster experience has been connecting with other students and faculty and gaining mentors.

A tradition that supports Westminster College's top priority: our children. This past fiscal year, parents contributed more than a half million dollars to the college—sending a strong, collective vote of confidence in the college's mission and vision. You can designate your Parents Fund gift to any area of Westminster.

Give Now to the Parents Fund

With the help of our alumni and friends, we have exceeded our $10 million fundraising goal, raising $14.6 million to date for student scholarships. But we still turn down 200 students each year—not because they don't qualify for scholarships, but because we run out of scholarships to award.

Annual scholarship

You can create a scholarship—for as little as $1,000 per year, payable over four years—to support any kind of student, including those interested in a particular field of study, future profession, community service, or athletics.

Endowed scholarship

Whether you want to honor a loved one or a favorite professor, we can help you create an endowed scholarship at the $25,000 level (payable over five years) that will forever provide scholarships for deserving Westminster students.

Giving through your will

You can create a scholarship through your estate, making Westminster a stronger institution and preserving the college's culture of caring for future generations.

The President's Innovation Network (PIN) is an opportunity fund that give President Steve Morgan the flexibility to invest in new programs that deepen learning and prepare graduates to thrive in a rapidly changing world. Since 2005, PIN donors have funded initiatives that have enabled students to experience innovative ways of learning.

Membership in the President's Innovation Network requires an investment that is renewable annually.

For more information on how you can become a member of the President's Innovation Network, please contact the Office of Advancement at (801)832-2737 or email Jeff Driggs.

Establishing your legacy gift at Westminster through tools including a will, trust, charitable gift annuity, real estate, and other assets. You can designate your gift to a particular school or special program, and your gift can offer you tax benefits, income, and other advantages during your lifetime.

The Converse Society

Named for Westminster's historic Converse Hall, the Converse Society honors alumni and friends who have committed a gift to the college through their will or estate plan.

A Legacy of Learning

Every year, Westminster students benefit from meaningful gifts from Converse Society members who have remembered the college through their will or other planned gift. Converse Society membership is open to any individual or couple who designates a planned gift to the college.

How to Become a Member of the Converse Society

Alumni and friends of the college who have remembered Westminster in their will or estate plan are eligible for membership. A donor need only make us aware of his or her gift to be included. You need not tell us the amount of the gift. Letting us know of the gift provides us the opportunity to record the gift's intended use and gives us the opportunity to say thank you.

Benefits of Converse Society Membership

The most important benefit is the knowledge that you are making Westminster a stronger institution and preserving the college's culture of caring for future generations. More tangible benefits include:

  • Admission to Westminster music, theatre, and sporting events
  • Converse Society mailings, including Legacy of Learning, an estate planning newsletter
  • Auditing Westminster College courses (arranged through the office of gift planning on a space-available basis)
  • Invitation to Converse Society events
