Seven years ago, while at the pinnacle of a successful marketing career working with some of the biggest clients in the ad and entertainment industry and with the United States’ most comprehensive fashion marketplace - Magic, Renya Nelson took an entrepreneurial leap of faith into following her passion and stepping outside of her frustrations with creative limitations. The result was Brand Aid, a Salt Lake City based creative agency focused on sharing client stories through tangible experiences and with branded products. As an entrepreneur, Renya has sought ways to build sustaining relationships in a competitive industry where client turnover is common.
She has developed what she refers to as brand anthropology where she understands the powerful connections of time and life-style when working with clients to share their stories and reach targeted demographics in a meaningful way. Given the caliber of clients, she guides their choices to meet demographic desires and wants across broad spectrums of interest. She is also a champion of small businesses as the Founder and President of the Utah Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Business Alumni Board, which provides ongoing education opportunities to over 500 alumni, as well as an active member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). With a passion and commitment to Salt Lake City, Renya may explore a city council position in the future.
